Bodhgaya, Bihar
Over the next few years the existing school will continue
to develop on the current site and facilities will be extended
to meet the growing needs. Enrolments on this site are expected
to stabilise at around 450 students.
Further developments proposed for Bodhgaya include:
- additional primary schools in areas of high need
- a senior secondary school at a new site that will also
include vocational training workshops, art and craft workshops,
teacher training facilities and volunteer staff accommodation
Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh
It is intended that Universal Education provision
will also be extended to Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh state.
Plans have been prepared for the opening of a small primary
school there in 2006. At a later stage it is envisaged that
provision in Kushinagar will develop along similar lines
to Bodhgaya with other primary schools and a secondary school
being progressively introduced.
